If you've ever looked for an incredibly fun game that will provide you with

Our 100% FREE Ragnarok Online role-playing game server allows you to
select from 19 different character classes to suit your individual
playing style.
As well, you can play by yourself or team up with other
players, especially ones with a class whose unique abilities
complement yours.
Explore hundreds of maps, ranging from the peaceful
fields outside Prontera, to the forboding caves of Glast Heim, to the
exotic architecture of Einbroch.
Challenge over 700 monsters, ranging from the meek Poring to
the fearsome Dark Lord. Duel other players in the Player versus
Player arena to test your strength. Lay siege to enemy castles in
Guild Wars, where the most powerful players compete with each
other for domination of the battlefield. Or just hang around in
town and socialize with other players.
I'm GM Talis, and I'm the owner of this Ragnarok Online game
server. Before I founded AnthemRO, I tried out many other free online games. Although many of them proved to be enjoyable, it seemed that all of them faced the same problems. So here's what I
did...
- You can play here for FREE! Most of the servers out
there are charging a monthly fee that most of us cannot afford. Other online games include a “free” service where you can play a watered-down version of the game, but the real game is only available to paid customers. On AnthemRO, you can enjoy everything the game has to offer without paying a dime. If you want to donate to support the server or to make the game easier for you, then you're free to do that as well. However, every item and feature in the game can be obtained without ever paying anything. You can invite your friends as well, without having to convince them to pay to
play!
- We use high-end hardware to reduce latency. Most free servers cannot get enough money to buy powerful enough computers to provide the players with a stable gaming experience. While lag may occur in any internet gaming environment, we do the best we can to make sure you won't have to endure laggy servers by utilizing high quality computer hardware.
- Your characters are backed up daily. Many game
servers are run by inexperienced staff, especially when it comes to the
finer technical aspects of managing a server. They setup a server, and
it runs fine for a while... but then disaster strikes. A hard disk
fails, a database query goes awry, or a hacker wipes their data... and
suddenly, all the characters and items on the server are destroyed,
the players' hard work lost... FOREVER!
Here, in the unlikely (but possible!) event of a hard disk failure or
other catastrophe, you will not lose more than 24 hours of work.
We respect the hard work you put into your characters
and work hard to preserve that.
- We only allow the best people on our staff. On many
other servers, the staff members get hired easily and are not
accountable to their players. They think that just because they are
providing a gaming environment to the players for free, the players must
worship them. But we recognize that if you play here, you are
devoting your valuable time to us and thus deserve to be treated with
respect, as much as a business should respect its paying
customers.
- We are proactive in disciplining abusive players.
It is difficult to build a friendly community of players who
are generally polite to each other. We try to stop abuse problems before
they spiral out of control and sour the gaming experience of other
players.
- We rarely delete inactive accounts. Unlike many
other servers, we understand that you may be unable to login to your
accounts for months due to personal reasons. We promise not to delete
inactive accounts for at least a year.
Like many game server owners, I am a veteran of many games, online and offline. And like many of you, I came from a Ragnarok private server called AnimaRO. Although it was up for a long time, AnimaRO eventually came under hard times.
Over the course of countless hours on AnimaRO both as players and as GMs, the staff came to love the server and community. Even as major tragedy befell AnimaRO, we couldn't bear to see it die. So I set up a new server and together with the best GM team ever assembled, I created a new home for the players of AnimaRO.
The previous AnimaRO management was excited to help me out, and thanks to their support and assistance, we made the transition as smooth as possible.
Together we are committed to bringing you the same excellent standard of service that you came to know previously. The AnthemRO staff has undergone numerous trials and hardships and has in spite of everything that has happened, persevered until the end.
The end result is a polished experience better than any other Ragnarok Online private server. I guarantee it.
